Blessed Onuphrii, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All the Ukraine, has blessed all the faithful to pray the following prayer daily:
PRAYER FOR PEACE
Almighty God Almighty, Most Gracious Lord, accept our kneeling prayers and our humble tears which we offer before Your Holy Altar at this time of trouble and sorrow among Your people, Accept the intercession of all our holy relatives, whose help and protection we invoke now, so that the light of your love, manifested on your Cross, may give light to all those who are suffering in this world, in the darkness of enmity and iniquity which subsists.
Accept the intercession of holy and blessed prince Vladimir, the baptizer and enlightener of our land; accept the prayer of the holy martyrs Boris and Gleb, who teach us not to raise our hands against our brother; Accept the intercession of your saints Anthony and Theodosius, and with them all the venerable men and women who, through their tears of repentance, have made their souls as clean as snow; accept the efforts of the new martyrs and confessors, who through their suffering preserved our saving faith in you; accept the requests of all your saints of the Church, who through their labours have sanctified our land.
Above all, accept the intercession of your holy Mother, our Lady of the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, by whose unashamed intercession your people have been many times delivered from all manner of enmity and strife between the nations.
Hear us, O God, our Saviour, and be gracious, O Lord, to all who suffer and are heavy laden; and forgive us our trespasses, teaching us also to remit the trespasses of our debtors, and turn Thy wrath upon Thy mercy, to put to rest all manner of trouble and disorder in our land, for Thou art the only good and humane God, and to Thee we praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.
